Virtual PSA Subscription Course: Effective Subject Leadership of RE in a Church School Part 1 - Vision and Curriculum - 29/11/22

This session is specifically aimed at leaders of RE in church schools. It will have a focus on vision and curriculum. It is virtual.

The session will include:
• An update on national information relevant to Religious Education, including feedback from SIAMS inspections under the new schedule.
• Sharing of examples of RE curriculums and exploring how they can be progressive, ambitious and ‘collectively enough’.
• Time to carry out a peer review of SIAMS Strand 7 Self Evaluations.

Please note that this is a sequence of 3 sessions and whilst each can be attended in isolation, it is hoped that by being virtual in part that you will be able to attend all 3 (including the ‘actual’ session in the summer term which will be an opportunity for moderation of pupils’ work.

In addition to these sessions, all schools are encouraged to access their local ‘RE Network Hub’ which meets at least twice a year. These are led by Hub Lead Practitioners and supported by SACRE and Diocesan RE advisers.
