POSTPONED:Explore the theme of walking in Scripture and how this can relate to our daily spiritual life.
Explore the theme of walking in Scripture and how this can relate to our daily spiritual life. St Paul, the itinerant tent maker, walked many miles on his missionary journeys and characterized the Christian life as a walk, using the metaphor on 32 occasions. God has invited us to walk the way of Jesus and along the way we discover our story and our song. As we journey, our lives begin to reflect the walk we make. St Francis of Assisi recognized this when he is said to have said, ‘It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching’. Using material from scripture, from local folklore and traditions imbedded in the British landscape, as well as the stories he has collected from refugees who have walked away from their homelands, Bishop Graham map out a Christian spirituality of walking.
