The new SIAMS framework- what does it mean for your church school now (DORCHESTER)
Preparing for the new SIAMS framework, using it as spring board for creative and innovative development of your church school/academy
This course is intended to enable school leaders to engage with confidence and understanding with the new SIAMS framework, using its transformative power in the development of the effectiveness and deeply Christian nature of Church of England schools.
The changes open the gate to a wider understanding of what it means to be a Church school. It is therefore vital that all Church schools, whether you are due inspection next year or not for another four years, engage with this training now. This will give you and the DBE time to look with care at the new inspection framework and to support you.
The course will:
• Develop knowledge and understanding of what the new framework will look like in practice in your school/academy
• Explore case studies of great practice from other schools and hear from the school leaders who developed them
• Gather a repertoire of practical self evaluation activities
• Making self evaluation judgements about your school
• Develop a shared understanding of the Vision of the Education Department of the Church of England (which has key connections into the SIAMS framework)
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TRAINING IS RUN OVER 1.5 DAYS AS FOLLOWS:
PART 1: 11th October 18 0930-1600hrs
PART 2: 23rd November 18 0930-1230hrs
PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKING ON TO PART 1 OF THE COURSE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLES YOU ON PART TWO.
