How might Church Schools implement the DfE’s expectations for Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) from September 2020?
Supporting ‘Dignity and Respect’ strand in the SIAMS schedule, attendees will receive support materials that emphasise a diversity of beliefs surrounding human sexuality in line with Church of England recommendations and within their Christian Foundation. Linked to Valuing all God’s Children and Love and Sex Matters, resources and guidance documents for Church Schools, which meet DFE requirements, will be shared with delegates as new guidance which will support schools as they finalise preparations for September 2020.
For Schools leaders, Subject Leaders and Governors of Church Schools to
• receive guidance and support materials appropriate for use with parents, including FAQs
• explore spiritual, faith-sensitive, inclusive and distinctive RSHE teaching materials and resources
• feel confident in their knowledge of the school’s preparedness for the delivery of Relationships, Sex and Health Education
