Safeguarding training going into 2018

Meeting for Parish Safeguarding Reps & Safeguarding C1 Trainers

Meeting for Parish Safeguarding Reps & Safeguarding C1 Trainers
In 2017 the Diocese has received a number of new national policies and training modules which we are required to implement. Our goal has always been to achieve their implementation in a way which is effective but is also conscious of the impact they can have on Parishes.

As we approach the end of the year we need to review the progress we have made, to identify the challenges ahead and make decisions as to what our priorities will be in 2018. To do this in a way which is meaningful, helps and not hinders Parishes, we need to involve as many of you who are delivering safeguarding training or are Parish safeguarding representatives. The programme will involve brief updates from members of the Safeguarding Team which will be followed by plenary sessions where you will have opportunity to tell us of your experiences and priorities.

4 Presentations:-

• Training : Jonathan Whiter
• Support to Parishes,: Heather Bland
• DBS checks: Stephen Dawson
• Culture: Sue Groom

Coffee will be served at 9.15am and there is parking onsite
