S3 Responding well to domestic abuse - St James Devizes
S3 Understanding Domestic Abuse. An Introduction
This course is for all those who may come across issues of domestic abuse as part of their day to day role. This includes clergy, pastoral visitors, chaplains, counsellors.
The course explores what domestic abuse is and who is affected. The course uses a hard-hitting film to help participants understand the nature and types of abuse experienced. Issues of power and gender are discussed. The course is framed around the new legal requirement to report matters of suspected coercion and control. Reporting procedures are examined so that participants have a clear understanding of their role.

FREE Parking at SN10 2DL between Canal & Police HQ at the Devizes Sports Club. Please note that the Estcourt room is not suitable for disabled access due to there being 2 steps to it and the toilet facilities
