S3 Responding well to domestic abuse Corfe Mullen PM session
This course is for all those who may come across issues of domestic abuse as part of their day to day role. This includes clergy, pastoral visitors, chaplains, counsellors.
The course explores what domestic abuse is and who is affected. The course uses a hard-hitting film to help participants understand the nature and types of abuse experienced. Issues of power and gender are discussed. The course is framed around the new legal requirement to report matters of suspected coercion and control. Reporting procedures are examined so that participants have a clear understanding of their role.
Parking available in the church car park.
