PSA SUBSCRIPTION COURSE: School Leaders New to Church Schools Session 3 (leaders new to post since September 2017) 12/02/20
I’m a new Church school leader – so what? An opportunity to meet and work with other Headteachers, Principals, Heads of School or Executive leaders new in post.
The course content will include:
SECOND YEAR IN NEW POST:
• SESSION 3 - Working in partnership with governors – how can I work more closely with governors and develop the ethos and impact on the outcomes in my school? (An afternoon at the Diocesan Education Office, with a commissioning service and lunch for leaders new in post beforehand)
To enable school leaders new in post to have a confident knowledge and understanding of what it means to be the leader of a Church school:
• to have gathered practical ideas for generating distinctive Christian vision and to have had the opportunity to see this ‘lived out’ in practice
• to understand how to build the link between distinctiveness and effectiveness and see how a school’s ethos can enhance outcomes
• to be able to use the SIAMS schedule and inspection as part of this process of transformation
