PSA SUBSCRIPTION COURSE: Renewing Foundation Governors MARLBOROUGH 05/02/20

This course will provide the opportunity to refresh delegates understanding of the role of Foundation Governor, particularly in light of the expectations and requirements set out in the SDBE Foundation Governor appointment policy and current national guidance. There will be opportunities for delegates to reflect on how learning from their time already in role may evolve their future participation, and consider further how their faith impacts the outworking of the role. The session will conclude with a short service of commissioning recognising that this role is deeply vocational in nature and represents them being called into a significant ministry.

The aim of this course is to develop, further equip and reenergise returning governors to recognise and access their full potential as excellent leaders commencing a new term of office within governance of effective and distinctive church schools.
