PSA SUBSCRIPTION COURSE: Religious Education Subject Leaders Session 1 DORCHESTER 28/11/19
Professional Development and Update Training for Religious Education Leads (free to attend for PSA Subscribed schools)
This session, will have a focus on ‘games’ and ‘knowledge’. Bring a resource, reflection or artefact that you have seen or used personally at home to play a game that could be adapted for the teaching of Religious Education.
As well as offering the chance for staff to network and share school practice, elements of bespoke training, such as updating knowledge with a particular focus on ‘World Faiths’ will be given.
An update on National information relevant to Religious Education, including feedback from SIAMS inspections under the new schedule will be included. Time will be set aside for peer review of SIAMS Strand 7 Self Evaluations.
If you have areas of RE or CW practice within your school that you would like further support/input for, please contact Emma Waters at emma.waters@salisbury.anglican.org and this will feed into the agenda for each session.
Over the course of the year, the diocesan model for the development of Collective Worship and Religious Education in geographically based ‘hubs’ will begin. Come and meet some of the Hub Lead Professionals (HLPs) working in our diocese who will co-lead this session.
For staff who have a passion and/or responsibility for Religious Education to be hear from fellow practitioners and be updated on developments nationally and locally. To leave the session with ideas to try and ways to capture impact RE teaching with children and adults in our schools.
