PSA ENTITLEMENT TRAINING: Returning Foundation Governors MARLBOROUGH 21/05/19
It is a requirement for all renewing Foundation Governors (and those returning to the role) to attend this training which delves deeper into expectations and outworking of the Foundation Governor role. Free to attend for PSA subscribed schools.
This course will provide the opportunity to refresh delegates understanding of the role of Foundation Governor, particularly in light of the uplifted expectation and requirements set out in the 2017 SDBE Foundation Governor appointment policy and current national guidance. There will be opportunities for delegates to reflect on how learning from their time already in role may evolve their future participation, and consider further how their faith impacts the outworking of the role.
The session will conclude with a short service of commissioning recognising that this role is deeply vocational in nature and for many will carry aspects of them being called into a significant mission and ministry.
The aim of this course is to develop, further equip and reenergise returning governors to recognise and access their full potential as excellent leaders commencing a new term of office within governance of effective and distinctive church schools.
