PSA ENTITLEMENT TRAINING: New Foundation Governors WILTON 08/11/18 AFTERNOON
It is a requirement for all new Foundation Governors to attend this training which shares and explores the expectations and role of the Foundation Governor. Free to attend for PSA subscribed schools
This course will focus on the expectations, requirements and role of Foundation Governors as laid down in the SDBE Foundation Governor appointment policy and national guidance. There will be opportunities for delegates to reflect on their context, the impact of their faith in the outworking of their role, and to identify areas of potential and actual strength and weakness for further growth and development.
The session will conclude with a short service of commissioning recognising that this role is deeply vocational in nature and for many will carry aspects of them being called into a significant mission and ministry.
The aim of this course is to equip and empower new governors to fulfil their potential as excellent leaders within governance of effective and distinctive church schools.
