Poverty in the countryside

Poverty, homelessness, drug use, food banks … these may sound like urban problems but the reality is that they increasingly to be found in rural contexts too. The Pilsdon Community in Lyme Bay Deanery offers a ministry of friendship, hospitality and acceptance to those who are seeking to rebuild their lives and many local churches are also involved. Find out what is being done – and what more can be done.

David Baldwin is Team Rector and Jo Neary is Team Vicar and Pioneer Minister of the Beaminster Area Team.
