In the Fullness of Time
Exploring what it means for the Church of England to be ’a Christian presence in every place’.
The Church of England is committed to being ‘a Christian presence in every place’. Traditionally the parish system has served that vision in a reliable way. In our present time however, there are significant challenges in fulfilling that vision; secularisation, decline, significant culture change. We will explore these challenges using the themes and insights from Paul Bradbury’s book In the Fullness of Time. In this book Paul listened to numerous leaders; in parishes, church plants, new missional communities, all wrestling with the call to be a Christian presence in a particular place. We will engage with the stories and insights from the book and explore together what it might mean for the challenge of our own context.
