CANCELLED - THIS SESSION IS NO LONGER RUNNING: The new SIAMS framework, an introductory overview (BRIDPORT 12.09.18)
An introduction to the new SIAMS framework for key school leaders to enable them to begin their thinking
The SIAMS framework is changing in September 2018 and the DBE want to ensure that schools are offered the support needed to be able to develop the strengths of your school in this context.
The DBE are aware that the new framework is significantly different from the current framework. The new framework is linked closely to the vision of the Church of England Education Department, and has totally new assessment criterion. The framework is an opportunity for us to work together to creatively share what it means for your school to be an effective church school in the fullest sense, and the DBE look forward to supporting you with this.
The introductory overview will:
• Develop broad knowledge and understanding of how the new framework is structured
• Begin to consider the opportunities of the significant changes in the frameworks for your school/MAT
The intended outcomes are:
To enable a range of school leaders to understand the broad structure of the new framework.
To enable school leaders to begin to develop their own thinking and questions about the opportunities it offers their school/MAT which they can then bring to the core training.
This introductory overview will be followed by a full training programme of 1.5 days in October & November 2018, the dates of which are available to book and view online. This training will be for CEOs, Headteachers, Incumbents and Chairs of Governors.
Further training will be made available to support Governors, Collective Worship Leads etc. across the year - dates to be advised.
