Basic Good Practice for Church Run Groups (afternoon session)
Control not chaos - making good practice guidelines work to support your work with children and young people
Basic good practice for running work with children and young people including planning, consent, risk assessment, behaviour management.
This 2 hour workshop will be a practical look at what we need to do to adhere to good practice guidelines, so that we can run groups as safely and smoothly as possible, and look after those who attend and the leaders.
It will include topics such as risk assessments, insurance, consent forms, travel, communication methods, groups with and without parents and basic safeguarding.
The intended outcome will be to ensure that all leaders and helpers understand the need for and how to implement good practice in all church led groups.
